Pit Stop Team Activity

In this activity, participants are first introduced to the concept of speed as experienced by a Formula driver.
Then, they step into the simulator to test how fast they really are — and their times are recorded.

Teams of 5 to 16 people compete against each other on the same virtual track in a race that includes a pit stop challenge.
When a car in the virtual race needs to change tires, it must enter the pit.
The team behind the driver then takes action — they physically change the tires, and the race car cannot continue in the simulation until the task is complete.

Each Formula Pit Stop Team consists of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 16 members.
Participants are trained on:

• Fast tire changes

• Removing and attaching wheel bolts

• Operating high-pressure tools

• Leadership and teamwork within a pit crew

Once everyone is ready, the real competition begins!

• Tire Installer: 4

• Lollipop Man (Pit Sign Holder): 1
